She has also ousted X-men actress Jennifer Lawrence to become the top contender on Forbes’ 2017 list of highest paid actress of all time. She has won the best actress award for her role in La La Land as a struggling actress. According to Forbes statistics of last year, she made almost close to $26 million in US only.
Emma Stone has passed popular TV series F.R.I.E.N.D.S, actress Jennifer Aniston, who still is at the second spot having earnings over $25.5 million. Her most of money comes through a lot of endorsement deals and loyalty fees from sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
This year Jennifer Lawrence has fallen to the third spot after dominating the list in the previous year. She has maintained the first place for two consecutive times with earnings of over $46 million. Her this year's earning is almost half of previous years that is $24 million. She is one of the actresses who has taken a bold step towards expressing views towards the existence of gender pay gap in the Hollywood. The Recent drop in her earnings proved her point. But still, she still got a quite fair endorsement deals with fashion brand Christian Dior.
American writer and Comedian Melissa McCarthy has also bagged a place in the top five spots in the Forbes 2017 list. She is has a total income of $18 million this year, behind her is Black swan actress Mila Kunis with earnings over $15.5 million.
There are a lot of another famous actress in the top 10 including Charlize Theron, Emma Watson, and Julia Roberts. Emma Watson made it to the top layer due to her role in the movie Beauty and the Beast, past year.
According to the sources, Forbes list is compiled on the basis of box office hits and exclusive interviews with industry insiders. The report released by Forbes stated that total cumulative earnings of world's top 10 highest-paid actresses are over $172.5 millions.
Forbes is expected to release the list of ‘Top most paid actors in the industry’ this week.
