When it comes to teaching, you have the world’s best teacher at your fingertips. From that teacher, we have understood what it means to learn with freedom and get things the way we want.

You must be having a little bit of confusion regarding the reference of the teacher. The world’s greatest teacher who knows all, sees all, is none other than Google itself.

After the easy access to smartphones and computers, Google has played a contributing role in the upliftment of the world’s knowledge database. No matter what the case might be, Google has changed the value of education today.

But today’s post is not to brag about Google. It is the next initiative of Google that will make learning, even more, fun and elementary. When I say elementary, I mean the childhood. And what better way to promote education for toddlers than games?

Imagine the possibilities that can happen if education is combined with fun? Sounds great, right? Google has just made that dream into reality.

Google, on Tuesday, has launched a game for the better understanding of the safety. This Game is a subconscious teaching for the kids on how to surf the net responsibly and with safety. The project that has been named under the ‘Be Internet awesome’ is promising innovation according to the educational society. This project is guided under the supervision of International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). The project is considered as one of the best things that you can manage to see for the next 10 years or so.

The main objective of the initiative is to make the new generation understand the safety guidelines needed to surf the net in a fun way.

 The idea is to make the young ones be a good internet citizen with the 5 basic guidelines designed by Google:

  • “Be Internet Smart,” or share with care;
  • “Be Internet Alert,” or don’t fall for fake information online;
  • “Be Internet Strong,” or secure your private information;
  • “Be Internet Kind,” or don’t be a cyber bully;
  • “Be Internet Brave,” or talk it out when in doubt.

You can access the lessons by a Google-based web browser for the game, Interland.

ISTE considers the initiative to be according to their learning standards. “Today’s students must be prepared to thrive in a constantly evolving technological landscape,” according to Mindy Frisbee, who happens to be the director of the alignment of ISTE. “Digital citizenship is an important element of the student standards, and Be Internet Awesome will help prepare students to understand the power of the internet and how to navigate this constantly changing the environment.” He concludes his statement with that.

What are the things that you should look forward to?

  1. A good educational platform for internet usage.
  2. The Dos and Don’ts when you are using the internet.
  3. The usual scams and fishing tricks avoidance that can bring harm to the user.
  4. What to and what not to share on the internet.
  5. How to make the internet work for you in a way that you want?
