This week Xiaomi has finally announced the global rollout its latest custom ROM MIUI 9 for most users. This android based custom ROM was announced in last July and from then it is explicitly and exclusively allowed for the registered beta testers of the ROM. The smartphone giant claimed that this update will give users more access to the latest features of the operating system. It comes with improved app launch gap and smooth UI interface with minimum latency. Also, MIUI 9 brings out some of the most awaited features by the users, like new improved notification panel, split screen option, faster and new icon animation.
Xiaomi also has published a list of smartphone that is expected to get this update within the upcoming month.

The update is said to be pushed in three phases, so if your phone is on the list and didn’t receive any update notification, don’t panic. Xiaomi’s spokesperson has said that all the following device will get the update before the end of this year.

Top features of MIUI 9
Last year, after MIUI 8 introduced a variety of new features like Caller ID, 3 finger screenshot, rolling screenshot, dual apps, second space which are way ahead of its market, the userbase go crazy upon them.
But this new version primarily focused on the faster and better performance of the UI. Basically, MIUI 9 is a huge performance-based upgrade for the above-mentioned devices. The new version also has a new ‘lightning’ icon, to indicate its fluid performance for the users.
MIUI 9 comes with a better RAM management techniques to better background activity management and reducing stress to prolong battery life. Some of the newly introduced optimising option includes automatic cache management algorithm, deep sleep recovery, real-time defragmentation, WiFi speed boost, core congestion control and improved data transmission efficiency.
In MIUI 9 there is a new section called “App Vault section”, you can access this section by swiping right on the home screen tab. This section lets users add different apps for easier and quicker access. Additionally, in MIUI 9 there is a lot of new improvement in the camera department. Now it comes with a new algorithm which allows us to remove an object from the picture after it has been taken also there are few new augmented reality filters added in the stock camera app. Also after this update, all major files will be bunched into a folder for easier access.
