The hottest trend in the gaming market is action. And when it comes to action games there is one name that you know for sure.

Nope, it’s not Street Fighter (although, that’s a very popular game as well). But there is something that became a sensation due to its fierce fighting moves and hotty hotness, Nina Williams.

Yes, I am talking about Tekken. The game that made history throughout the world is now going to launch its 7th edition.

Tekken is perhaps one of the most popular one on one combat games in the world. Unlike games developed on the same concept like Mortal Combat, DOA and Street Fighter etc. the makers of Tekken made sure that improvement becomes contnious. The gamers are always fascinated by the concept of Tekken. Although the concept remains same, there is always something new that can make you understand the game from a different point of view.

Now, what’s so special about the 7th editions?
Let’s start with the new and improved graphics and response to reaction gameplay. But that is not the most of it. Another thing that you might consider is the fact that they want it to go worldwide.

I know the statement doesn’t make any sense but trust me, it will.

Bandai Namco (the company that Tekken is part of) is actually taking the entire gameplay to a world tour. They will be seeing (analyzing, if you ask me) the response of the players and the popularity of this game worldwide.

While the game is about to be the next gaming sensation, the producers also have an intention of making it accessible to the users in a lot easier way. So, they have decided to combine their idea with the marketing of Twitch.

Twitch will be the in-charge of the entire marketing operation of this game. The complete formal and nonformal gameplay in the multiplayer world will be handled under the supervision of Twitch itself. How cool is that?

The venue of the first initiative of this innovation will be at the CEO Fighting Game Championships in Orlando, Florida. They plan to feature the game with an audience from 45 corresponding states from USA and 27 countries worldwide. That’s not all. The toughest cookies are likely to get handsomely rewarded. Fancy that!

The world tour is starting from 16th of June. If you want to be a part of this tournament, then you have to register through an authorized registration partner.

They plan to have a 6-month gaming session. When the session will be over by November and the winner will walk out of the crowd, a $200,000 prize will be waiting for him.

Eric Hartness, who happens to be the marketing vice president agrees to the complete harmony and sense of the partnership.

He, in an interview, said that “The Tekken franchise is a pure combat fighting video game. It is one of the pioneer games that ignited gamers' fascination with one-on-one video game combat. There have been similar games, but Tekken has become one of the icons in the genre.”

If you want to apply, you should submit your applications by July 3rd in TwitchCon.com. Late submits are less likely to get approved.
