All through his life, Harland, had encountered failure in different forms - Abusive step-father, homelessness, Educational dropout, failed marriage, getting fired from various jobs and what not. He even made several attempts to suicide and, ironically, failed there as well. At the wise age of 65, he discovered that there is a lot to be done and he can’t give up this way. He knew one thing and he knew it the best, it was cooking. So, he began experimenting and finally, he came out with his signature fried chicken recipe which was rejected 1009 times at different hotels. He went in utter destitute that he couldn’t afford a shelter and had to seek resort in his car for almost 2 years! But he didn’t give up and his determination lead to the foundation of “Kentucky Fried Chicken”. KFC, whose founder is Harland Sanders, generates a revenue of 23 Billion USD from over 19,000 franchise all over the world!
